I get the following error when I try to use Karaoke CDRWIN 3.7E software.

ERROR: No CDROM Recording device was found on SCSI or IDE bus.

The Burner works OK with
EASY CD CREATOR 5 (BASIC).

How do I fix this problem?
Do I need to setup the burner?

Thank You
Bob Whitman

PS: I am using LG (HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8160B) 16X Burner
on DELL 400 MHz PII Windows 2000 PRO system.

Also ATAPI 56X CDROM drive.

the burner isn't capable of doing the cdg graphics.

Go to the cdrwin's website and look up what the compatible burners are. Most cases, you'll need a Plextor burner.

Also, Cdrwin doesn't work well with XP. I see you have 2000Pro, so that's not a problem!!

Matt, thank you for the info.
The goldenhawk web site
lists the LG (HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8160B) 16X Burner
as a compatible burner.
So the burner is capable of doing the cdg graphics.
Do I have any other problems that need to be fixed?

Thank You

you might need to install the aspi drivers. I think the website has some troubleshooting info, or maybe the program does. Go to the Goldenhawk website and click on the "Download Area"... and go to "ASPI Drivers for Windows 95 / 98 / Me / NT / 2000 / XP"

Also the goldenhawk mentions the "Easy Cd Creator" specifically... not with 2000, but I bet it's still connected!

I know that error means the program doesn't detect the ability to read the subcode!
