:( Anyone know these machines or have a manual?

For some strange reason the digital echo manual button has stopped working. When using the Karaoke, Manual or PBC mode the echo sets itself automatically. Is there any way I can switch it back? The remote controller does not seem to be of any use here. Or if it is I don't know how to use it.

Thanks :D :D

You have not been over looked-

There's plenty of folks around that use those players, they're just being shy

Sorry Jimbo...

I don't use the player that way. I always hook up thru a mixer! And use their echo/reverb!

Jimbo, I've been using this player for 7 years and have a few of them. At first when I read Your post a few days ago I thought I missed something. I'm looking at one of my 303's right now and see no "Manual Echo" button.

I never use the remotes so try doing manual/hand settings.

Unplug the machine and wait a few seconds
Plug it back in and try using manual/hand settings.

You should be able to set the Echo as you like with the Digital Echo knob.

I don't have this machine yet, but I'm thinking of getting one...Sorry Jimbo, I'm no help to you.

How come I can't find mention of this unit anywhere on the JVC website?

Jimbo
I have some problems with the Digital echo.. before .. but here could be the problem.. this is a big longshot.. the circuitry behind the faceplate is EXTREMELY fragile!!! I have broken them before.. not just once but 3 times!!! purely by accident!!! all 3 times it was in shipping.. so it really don't take much at all.. so if it's frozen so the echo is fully on or not at all, or the display is messed up. Then there is a chance thet that circuit board may be broken, and it needs to be sent to an AUTHORIZED service center. All it takes is a small crack in the circuit board to mess up that echo feature.

If you are able to fix it as BJC has directed .. then have fun!

:( Thanks fore the replies chaps. It is the Digital Echo knob that isn't working. 'Manual' is my terminology.

I've took the cover off and tested the switch and its rheostat, and it works fine with the ohmmeter tester. I can't test the circuit myself. I've already took out the power supply to reset the defaults. Still no joy. Any one know of a service centre in Britain.
