I have many CDG'S that I have ripped using my PC, and earlier on a NEO GEO machine. Now I want to make sure all of my file names are the same format. What format do you recommend? IE...Title-Artist-Track#

What works best with song book makers and other software.
I know this has been discussed on here before, but honestly couldn't find. Thanks in advance.

What playing software do you use? Most hosting softwares can generate a csv file that most songbook softwares can import into their database.
The best editing songbook software in my opinion is Pilot because it not only can print a list but you can edit the list and then change the filename to match your list.

Right now, I'm just using for home use. Using Karaoke Builder free player, but thinking about using PCDJ.

There's a free program called mp3tag that once you've got the files tagged, you can use the program to rename all of them at once into whatever format your player and songbook softwares can import into their database. If your files are in the standard pairs of CDG and MP3 then it will name both files for you. Works flawlessly unless you have duplicates and don't name using both brand id and track. Then it will leave one copy unrenamed.
