I am trying to setup an inexpensive Karaoke system for my wife (Xmas present). I currently have an old Denon AVR-2803 A/V Receiver, a brand new Hisense 65" Hf9 TV and a set of SVS speakers / sub. I was considering buying the following:

Fifine K036 System (wireless 2-set mics + mixer)
PROZOR 192KHz Digital to Analog Audio Converter (the TV has no analog sound output)

Connect TV to converter, converter to K036 and K036 to Denon receiver.

I also saw a eSynic converter with a volume knob, but not sure if that is necessary.

Planning to use YouTube for songs.

Is this a decent setup? Should I get a converter with volume? Open to any suggestions.

Thanks!

Normal AV speakers are not suited for live vocals.
The uneven volume will often blow then out.
Recommend obtaining P/A or Karaoke style speakers for long life.

Don't look for gear specific to "karaoke", those types of equipment are usually low quality, over priced, basically "toys". Purchase a small PA system including a small format mixing board and a small set of powered speakers (amps already built into the boxes/cases to match the installed speakers).

There are many to choose from that won't break the bank, such as:

https://www.guitarcenter.com/Yamaha/STA ... 0209165.gc

That is just one suggestion, there are others. Most you will have to add cables and microphones. I suggest setting a budget of what you are going to spend, then go out and buy the components separately in order to get the best deals for the gear that will suit your needs.

Good luck and happy singing!!

Excellent choice MrScott.
You can't go wrong with Yamaha. Solid equipment.

And the Guitar Center is having sales issues these days, and will cut the price to make a sale.

I always say I can beat that price across town, they price match instantly.

Also, price match Amazon..

Your suggestion is a good one. I actually have experience with the old 300 model and recently was at a show that was using the model you linked to and the sound was perfect for the room it was in.
