 Hi There! I'm 55yrs. old, married and a KJ. It's a great way to make a living. It's a great way to meet people. It's Fun! I hug a lot of women at my shows and I "Flirt" constantly with "all" of them and they flirt back. Age and looks doesn't make a difference, I want them all to know that they are loved and appreciated. Flirting does seem to come with the territory, but I've never left with anyone (YES, I have recieved offers.)and I don't think about it while I'm singing. I sing from the heart and I have fun doing what I'm doing. No CRACKS about me being 55. My wife tells me "You aren't ever going to get old." Love Life and Be Sure To Live It! Love People and They Love You Back! Keep a Song in Your Heart and Catch the "Spirit" :dancin:

LMAO , Wholly Xit... Some of you are really ancient in here....Sorry,  It's tough to hold back... Let some of us bask in our youth and immaturity, and take solice in knowing we don't have to worry about being as old as some of you ancient fart's for at least another 4 or 5 years !!

Is there a singing forum for we kids ?   I wasn't aware Karaoke was Yiddish for "Retirement community"... LMAO  LMAO..

I had to stop going to Singer's Showcase.. I can only take so many renditions, and transposed versions of, "Oh my Papa", "Green Green Grass of Home", "Home on the Range", "Sunrise Sunset", "If I were a Rich Man", and as if *THAT'S* not bad enough, you should hear the mens selections for songs to perform over there

One day, with a little luck, you'll all get there. :dancin: Livin' your life is what keeps you alive!

   Do people still "do it" when they get as old as you ?  I mean,  put their teeth in a glass w/o the assistance of a nurses aide.. get their own mail, etc ?  I have a case pending;  Soundchoice vs. Services for the elderly.  We're trying to get the larger CD-G companies to include a series that has bold sufficient sized lettering and takes into consideration phrasing for people on Oxygen.

Personally don't care what the oppostie sex thinks, although I get requests often from them to do certain songs.  I am married & am not out looking for a date (or anything else), but as a host, have to do a certain amount of flirtation.

i run a show, too so i echo this sentiment.  i don't know if i'd call it flirtation as much as just being me.  i try to compliment everyone on something and make feel like they are my best friend, male or female.  my wife has told me on several occasions that i get what she calls a "look" in my eyes when i sing to a crowd.  to me it's just haveing a great time!  if i get a twinkle in my eye so be it!  she likes "the look".  (it doesn't hurt my ego either when she's in the bathroom and overhears other ladies discussing me  :oh yeah:    Giggidy, giggidy!)

Yeah,  Hopefully you won't experience what I overheard while in a bathroom stall....

"Kappy sho has a purty mouf"..

I suppose it takes alot more for my ego to get those "warm fuzzies"   :(

Btw,  Did I ever mention how I met the OP of this thread ?

No, I'm not there to pick anyone up, or to be picked up.  I LOVE singing. That's the bottom line.  I do get up there and act sexy IF it fits in with the song or the way I'm feeling it.  (Does that make sense?)  But basically, I'm there to sing and have fun.

I never ever flirt when I am on stage.... Off stage is a different story... I go sing most of the time by myself but occasionally the old ball and chain comes with me... He is always amazed that everyone there knows me.....I think if I didn't flirt I would definately be dead or something... Not sure what the something would be, just something....life just wouldn't be fun anymore......And if Kappy or Keith changed this site would be any any fun either......

Between the three of us we can try to keep the site alive.... Keith can flirt with the females,  You flirt with the males... and I'll  (where was I trying to go with this anyway :headscratch:  )
